This amazing 180 acre property, at just over 9,000 feet, is a perfect off the grid, forested paradise. Very remote and secluded, bordered on the west by the BLM on the north by the White River National Forest for miles. Covered in Aspens, Pines, Gambel Oak, Sage, Service Berry, Mountain Snowberry shrubs, and wild flowers, with open grassy parks. Abundant wildlife and excellent Elk and Mule Deer hunting in GMU 33. Only about 21 miles north of Rifle. From the property you can see the Bookcliffs northwest of Rifle and the mountains south of the Colorado River, the Hogback, and to the north you can see Burro Mountain. This would be good summer pasture for cattle, and a wonderful, peaceful and quiet get-a-way all year around. There is a small, very rustic, cabin and a small storage shed, no water, no power.
Summer and fall access are by National Forest dirt roads, which turn very muddy after rain storms. Access from late fall, winter and spring would be by snowmobile. The roads are not maintained through the winter and open up after the snow melts and the mud dries up.
